PUMP TESTING PROCEDURE

VACUUM TEST

A vacuum test should be conducted on the pump. The interior of the pump should be subjected to a vacuum test as follows:

         1 in. Hg (0.034 bar) for each 1000 ft (305 m) of altitude above 2000 ft (610 m).

(4)   The vacuum must not drop more than 10 in. Hg (0.34 bar) in 5 minutes.

(5)   The primer must not be used after the 5-minute test period has begun.

(6)   The engine must not be operated at any speed greater than the governed speed during this

        test.
